‘The Henry Effect’

I’ve had for some time an interesting theory on the success of Theiry Henry in English football and his rise to legendary status in the domestic game. Before I start musing I’d like to state that during his time in England he was a wonderfully talented footballer and in no way am I saying he wasn’t, I just think he had some help along the way! I’d also like to say that this theory isn’t directly about him, but best illustrated by him.

Liverpools Biggest Week Of The Season?

This week could be the biggest of Liverpool’s season so far, they play Benfica on Thursday night and Fulham at Anfield on Sunday afternoon. European ‘success’ this year and their place amongst Europe’s elite next season hang in the balance. Depending on how this week goes their only role this year may be in helping decide where this year’s Premier League title goes in their penultimate game of the season.
